Biography
Wim Van Opstal is a senior researcher at VITO (Belgium). He holds degrees in economics (Leuven) and commercial sciences (Antwerp). His research on the social and cooperative economy focuses on its potential to enable and embed sustainable business models and a just transition, mostly in the context of a circular economy.His research has been published in Business Strategy and the Environment, Journal of Cleaner Production, Energy Policy, Technological Forecasting and Social Change, Annals of Public and Cooperative Economics among others.
