The CIRIEC Scientific Commission on Public Economy/Public Services organizes a webinar entitled ‘A mission-oriented framework for the coordination of State-Owned Enterprises in Brazil’ and will be presented by Giovanni Tagliani following the publication of the paper of the same name, written with Mariana Mazzucato, Fernando Teixeira and Giovanni Tagliani, in the context of a project led by Prof Mariana Mazzucato in collaboration with Brazil’s Ministry of Management and Innovation in Public Services (MGI).

Dr Giovanni Tagliani is an economist at the intersection of development, industrial, and environmental economics, with a keen interest in the economics of innovation. After pursuing an MSc in Economics in Italy and an MPhil in Development Studies at the University of Cambridge, he already completed his first PhD in Economics in Italy, under a sustainability and innovation curriculum. He is now in the last year of his second PhD, at the University College London, with a thesis focusing on National Oil Companies. He has also been a Policy Researcher working on SOEs in Brazil, and he is currently a Consultant for the Natural Resource Governance Institute.
