Biography
Ermanno Tortia is Associate Professor at the University of Trento, Department of Economics and Management.His research focuses on Institutional Economics especially in the fields of organizational economics, contracts and human resource management, as mainly applied to third sector research and the economics of cooperation. He also approaches the institutional dimensions of local development from the viewpoint of the third sector and of social entrepreneurship. He teaches Microeconomics and Institutional Economics at the Department of Economics and Doctoral School of Social Sciences, Trento University.
He is vice-coordinator of the DELoS (Development Economics and Local Systems) program at the Doctoral School. Finally, he collaborates with Euricse (European Research Institute on Cooperative and Social Enterprises, Trento) in research projects related to the institutional theory of social and cooperative enterprises.
