Biography

Dr. Alexandra Zbuchea is a Professor, a PhD coordinator and the Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Management at the National University of Studies and Public Administration, Bucharest, Romania. Alexandra is the Executive Manager of the Center for the Study of Responsible Organizations from the same faculty, a member of several organizing and scientific boards of conferences and academic events, as well as a board member for several academic journals. Since 2021 she launched and is the editor-in-chief of Culture. Society. Economy. Politics, an academic journal which tries to close the gap between researchers and practitioners in a trans- and interdisciplinary framework.
She is part of professional associations such as the Academy of Marketing Science or the International Association of Knowledge Management. Also, she is active in an NGO promoting education for children through access to heritage and culture – Da’DeCe. Until 2018 she was a member of the Board of the National Network of Museums in Romania. Since 2006, she is a consultant for museums in cultural management and marketing, as well as trainer in the field. She published several books and many studies in marketing for museums, promotion, knowledge management, cultural tourism, etc. She was twice Fulbright Scholar, at Columbia University and New York University, in the field of museum studies.
In the past few years she has also been member of the juries for Civil Society Gala, Romanian Effie Awards and Green Report Gala on Sustainability.
