CIRIEC-France – the French Section of CIRIEC International – was founded in 1950 by Léon JOUHAUX, winner of the Nobel Peace Prize. Its objectives are to undertake and promote the collection of information, scientific research, and the publication of works relating to economic sectors and activities oriented towards the service of the general and collective interest. Its works are primarily scientific in nature and are coordinated by an Orientation Council composed of researchers, academics and practitioners from various sectors of the public and social and solidarity economy.

CIRIEC-France is chaired by Alain ARNAUD, who is also Honorary President of CIRIEC International and President of the Edgard MILHAUD Foundation. Jean-Louis CABRESPINES is its General Delegate and Timothée DUVERGER is the Chairman of the Orientation Council .

Newsletter: 

CIRIEC-France’s monthly newsletter is called Les Brèves. This newsletter contains information on the work of CIRIEC, offers various readings, an agenda of activities and articles from/about CIRIEC-France members and partners.

CIRIEC-France also regularly offers interviews with leading figures in the French public, social and cooperative economy: Idéaux & Débats – Les entretiens du Ciriec.
