Biography
Yseult Marique is a Professor of Law at the Essex Law School (UK) and a Professor of the law of public finances at UC Louvain (BE). She is a full member of the Group of Independent Experts on the European Charter of Local Self-Government, Council of Europe (2023), a member of the International Academy of Comparative Law (2021) and one of the founders of the Research Network on Public Authorities and Financial Distress (2023). Her research focuses on public economic law, public finances, public contracts, administrative normativity, ESG considerations and solidarity. Yseult holds a PhD in Law from the University of Cambridge (2011), law degrees from the ULB (1999) and the VUB (2005) and a MA in contemporary ethics from Anglia Ruskin (2023).LinkedIn: Yseult Marique
