Deolinda MEIRA

Biography

Deolinda Meira is an associate professor at the Polytechnic of Porto/ ISCAP. She is Director of the Master “Management and Legal-Business Regime of the Social Economy.” She is responsible for a research group on Social Economy at the Center for Social and Organizational Studies of the Polytechnic of Porto (CEOS.PP). Her main fields of research include Cooperative Law and Social Economy Enterprises. She is a member of the Board of Directors of CIRIEC Portugal, of the National Council for the Social Economy of Portugal (CNES), the International Association of Cooperative Law, the Study Group on European Cooperative Law (SGECOL), the Scientific Committee of Terzjus Association - Observatory of third sector law, philanthropy and social enterprise law, among others. She is co-author of the Principles of European Cooperative Law: Principles, Commentaries and National Reports, Cambridge, Intersentia, 2017. Deolinda Meira has (co)authored many works on cooperative and social economy law.
